A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana’s Asante Kotoko Football Club, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has reportedly been poisoned at his friend’s birthday party.
The Party is said to have taken place over the weekend in Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana.
A report by Ghanaian media outlet, Wontumi TV, revealed that Nana Yaw Amponsah was scheduled to travel outside Ghana on Wednesday for business engagements, but he has not been able to do so because of the poison.
He is said to be receiving treatment at a yet-to-be disclosed health facility and prayers are being offered for his recovery.
