Police Officer Dies On Night Duty After Sleeping Kia Truck Driver Ran Over Him At Checkpoint

A Ghanaian police officer died while on night duty after a sleeping Kia Truck driver ran over him at a checkpoint.

The tragic incident happened in the Central Region of Ghana.

Eyewitnesses accounts suggest that the Truck driver happened to be sleeping and sped through the Checkpoint barrier, running over the police officer, which resulted in his death.

Reports say at least three other individuals were injured as well.

Those injured were reportedly taken to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for medical care.
