Muslim Clerics Arrested for Exhuming Corpse of 1-year-old and using his body parts for rituals

Three Muslim Clerics have been arrested in Nigeria’s Ondo state for allegedly exhuming the body of a one-year-old boy and using his body parts for rituals.

The suspects identified as Aliyu Musa, Aliyu Taiye, and Wasiu Babatunde, allegedly cut off the one-year-old boy, Taiwo Bisiriyu’s head and two palms for rituals.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. The Ondo State-owned newspaper, The Hope, reported that the boy died on Friday, July 5, 2024, and was buried the same day and the Clerics officiated at the burial but they later allegedly exhumed the body and cut off the body parts.
