Mahama Did Not Promise To Stabilize Struggling Ghana Cedi In 100 Days – Campaign Team

The campaign team of former Ghanaian President, John Mahama’s  has stated that contrary to media reports, he did not promise to stabilise the struggling Ghana cedi in 100 days upon assumption of power.

 

A statement signed by Joyce Mogtari, Special Aide to Mr. Mahama, stated that the former President instead in his speech at the 8th Ghana CEO summit, outlined a comprehensive plan to address the challenges facing the Ghanaian economy, demonstrating his understanding of the situation.

 

The statement quoted Mr. Mahama as saying that “Our number one priority will be stabilizing the economy and restoring a stable currency. We will launch an urgent economic recovery and fiscal consolidation plan following a national economic dialogue to be held within one hundred days of assumption of office.”
