Ghanaian Musician Wendy Shay’s Foundation Wins 40 Under 40 Award

The Shay Foundation, a charity organization owned by Ghanaian musician, Wendy Shay, has been honored with an award at the 2024 edition of the prestigious 40 Under 40 Awards Ghana.

At the awards ceremony held over the weekend in Accra, the Shay Foundation was presented with the coveted Philanthropy and Charity-child support award.

The Foundation, in a statement commenting on the award, thanked “…the 40 Under 40 awards for recognizing our impact and also to each and everyone who voted and has been of great support to the NGO.”

In the statement released via Instagram, the Shay Foundation added that “As the saying goes, the purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.”

It assured that “We will continue to help and support lives in our small way.”

The 40 under 40 Awards Ghana in a statement on its official website says it exists to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of Ghana’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries we cover, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age as a result of this.
