Bawumia Hands Over Digital Devices To Opoku Ware Senior High School As Ghana Smart School Project Becomes A Reality

The Ghana Smart School Project has become a reality after Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia inaugurated a smart block for Opoku Ware Senior High School and also handed over several digital devices to the school.

The handing over the devices and the inauguration of the block made Opoku Ware Senior High to attain the status of Ghana’s first smart school for the public sector.

 

The digital devices presented to Opoku Ware Senior High School included computers, smart boards, and internet access to facilitate usage.

 

The newly inaugurated smart block was named after Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

 

It would be recalled that March 25, 2024, Mr. Akufo-Addo launched the Ghana Smart School Project. He announced during the launch that existing school facilities in public senior high schools were to be transformed into smart schools while new structures would be built for schools in some areas.

 

Launching the Opoku Ware Senior High School Smart Block, Dr. Bawumia who has been campaigning in the Ashanti Region for three days now, “Ghana is among few countries in the world where government supplies students with tablet computers to ensure the future does not elude our children.”
