11 persons die in as boat capsize in Ghana, 5 others reported missing

Some 11 individuals have lost their lives in Ghana after a boat their were travelling capsized.

Five others have been reported missing while six people were rescued.

The tragic incident occurred on the Oti River in the Oti Region of Ghana.

The boat is said to have taken off from Dambai and was heading towards Njari,a farming and fishing community in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.

Four women and baby girl who were rescued, reports say, were rushed to the intensive care unit at the Dambai Health Center.
