A 10-year-old Ghanaian girl has been hospitalized in Ghana after allegedly being raped by an apprentice.
The victim was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man and is hospitalized in Sogakope in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The rape incident occurred in the Tongu area of the Volta Region.
Reports indicate that there are increasing cases of rape, defilement and abuse of women in Tongu area.
The victim is said to be a class 4 pupil. She was defiled by the 25-year-old man believed to be an apprentice living in Toklokpo, a suburb of Sogakope.
