At long last, Spanish and European champions, Real Madrid, have signed Kylian Mbappe as their new player.

Madrid announced the signing on Monday night, June 3, 2024, making Mbappe’s childhood dream of playing for them come true.

In an official statement on Monday night, Madrid announced: “Real Madrid C.F. and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement under which he will become a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”

The announcement brings to an end years of negotiations and speculations about Mbappe becoming a Madrid player.

For years, Mbappe has made it clear that his dream was to play for Madrid.

Photos of him as a youngster sitting in a room with posters of Madrid players such as Cristiano Ronaldo surfaced on the internet some years back, and there has been consistent speculation in the media about his move to Madrid.

In February this year, Mbappe announced through a video message that he was going to exit the French club, Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2023/24 season.
