James, born 1931, is known for overcoming a childhood stutter to develop a stentorian voice recognized around the world as intergalactic villain Darth Vader.
Jones, who battled diabetes for many years, passed away at his home surrounded by family members on Monday, September 9, 2024, according to his agent Barry McPherson.
An EGOT winner, a giant in storytelling and culture, Jones enjoyed a 60-year-long career in the movie world.
