Ghanaian Singer Beaten To Death In His  Girlfriend House After Being Mistaken To Be A Thief

An emerging Ghanaian musician, Nana Yaw, popularly known as Wyllbee, has reportedly been beaten to death while spending a night with his girlfriend who is said to be a married woman.

Wyllbee is reported to have traveled from Accra to Kumasi to spend several days with his girlfriend whose husband is reportedly overseas, but living with her in-laws. The bereaved family is reported as saying that Wyllbee did not inform any family member of his journey.

Reports say around 1:00am on Friday, July 5, 2024, he woke up to urinate outside and was attacked by residents of the compound house as they reportedly suspected him to be a thief.

According to reports, Wyllbee told his attackers that he was not a criminal, and that he had come to spend time with his girlfriend in the house, but the girl allegedly denied knowing him to protect her marriage.

After being denied by his girlfriend, a heated argument erupted and neighbours were alerted that a thief had been caught, resulting in Wyllbee being beaten to death, according to reports.

He had been sent to a local hospital in the morning after his family was informed about the incident and was transferred later to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for treatment but reportedly died later.
